JOB VACANCIES AT THE ACG

We have identified two key areas of the ACG’s work where we need some part time help – one is voluntary, the other paid, but both are highly important to ensuring that key functions of the group operate smoothly and efficiently. WEBSITE MODERATOR/EDITOR.   Voluntary

With a new website launched last month, the ACG needs a team member who will act as gatekeeper and moderator for all on-line content. We want the website to be an active portal for news and views using the full range of social media, and as such it will need regular monitoring to ensure all content is appropriate and consistent with the aims and ethos of the ACG. It is envisaged that the moderator will check the site on a regular basis, and liaise with other members of the web editorial team regarding the suitability and tone of content. The moderator will be given required training in the use of the WordPress content management
system, the necessary access and permissions for the site, and will have full editorial discretion for content.  Any previous experience in this area is desirable although not essential.

BOOK-KEEPER  Paid, approx. 4-5 hours work per month

In order to enable the ACG Board to monitor our finances and to keep records up to date, we would like to recruit a book-keeper who would be willing to spend 4-5 hours a month assisting our Finance Director in this important task. Familiarity with QuickBooks software, or a willingness to learn how to use the package is essential. The role would be paid at a realistic hourly rate.
